Engr. Chichi Emenike is a high-impact energy leader with 27 years of expertise in the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors. As the Acting Managing Director of Neconde Energy Limited and Gas Asset Manager, she has transitioned from technical execution to strategic financial stewardship, specializing in the commercial optimization of large-scale energy assets. Her career has been defined by navigating complex regulatory landscapes, securing transformative financing and leading high-value assets to operational profitability.
Additionally, she oversees the strategic mandate to unlock the Asset’s Reserves, transforming underutilized resources into bankable commercial opportunities. Her board-level contributions extend to the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), where she served in various capacities as Council Member, even now as a 2nd Vice President and chairs the Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion (DEI) Study Group. In these roles, she advises on corporate governance and integrates ESG frameworks into business sustainability strategies.
A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) and COREN certified, Chichi holds a Bachelor’s in Engineering and an MBA in Oil & Gas Management from Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen. Her unique blend of technical mastery, commercial acumen and commitment to inclusive leadership makes her a valuable asset to boards seeking expertise in energy transition, global operational standards and bridging the gap between engineering complexity and bottom-line financial performance.
Apart from being involved in several technical projects along different parts of the value chain of the industry, she has been engaged in several Corporate Social Responsibility Projects, advocating inclusion and diversity and its relevance to business sustainability as well as serving on different Not-for profit organizations and NGOs. She is a founding member of the Women in Energy Network (WIEN) and also a member of Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN). She remains committed to actively creating opportunities especially for women in Oil and Gas projects whilst also providing Commercial, Technical and Financial advice for women who are seeking to actively participate in the Oil & Gas industry.
