On the 10th of March 2026,The President of the Nigerian Association for Energy Economics (NAEE) and Group Chief Economist of Dangote Group , Dr. Hassan Mahmud led a delegation of Council members on a courtesy visit to the Authority Chief Executive (ACE) of the NMDPRA ,Engr. Saidu Mohammed.The visit served as an official expression of gratitude for the Authority’s longstanding institutional support of the Association.

During the engagement, the NAEE President highlighted the Association’s core initiatives, including the Annual NAEE/IAEE Conference, technical workshops, and high-impact capacity-building programs. He formally congratulated the ACE on his appointment and extended an invitation to the 19th Annual NAEE/IAEE Conference, scheduled for April 26–29, 2026, at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

A highlight of the visit was the presentation of a Special Congratulatory Award to the ACE. Additionally, Prof. Yinka Omorogbe, SAN (Immediate Past President of NAEE), presented the Authority with the latest Energy Bulletin and association publications. The ACE expressed his appreciation and reaffirmed the NMDPRA’s commitment to partnering with NAEE on future programs.
