The International Women’s Day celebration and official launch of Her Seat Circle – Women & Girl Child Empowerment Initiative brought together distinguished speakers, community leaders, and advocates committed to advancing the empowerment of women and girls. The event served as a platform to discuss the importance of education, leadership development, and economic empowerment for women while inspiring young girls to pursue their dreams and take up leadership roles in society.
During the program, the guest speakers shared powerful insights on the need to create more opportunities for women and to support the girl child through mentorship, education, and skills development. As part of the initiative’s commitment to making tangible impact, five female students were supported with JAMB registration to further their educational journey, while five women were enrolled into vocational skill acquisition programs to promote financial independence and sustainable livelihoods.
The launch of Her Seat Circle also highlighted the importance of building a strong network of women who support, mentor, and uplift one another. The founder emphasized the organization’s vision to create lasting change by empowering women and young girls with the tools, knowledge, and opportunities they need to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.
