NIES 2026 Conference Concludes Successfully in Abuja, 2nd-5th Feb 2026
The Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) 2026 has successfully concluded in Abuja, marking another major milestone in Africa’s energy dialogue and global collaboration. The high-level conference was held under the theme “Energy for Peace and Prosperity: Securing Our Shared Future.”
Powered by Brevity Anderson, the 2026 edition of NIES brought together key global and regional stakeholders to deliberate on sustainable energy development, security, innovation, and economic growth as tools for peace and shared prosperity.

The summit was honoured by the presence of distinguished dignitaries, including Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia, and Kashim Shettima, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Also in attendance were the Honourable Minister of Petroleum (State), the Minister of Gas, senior government officials, policymakers, and captains of industry from across the energy value chain.
Throughout the conference, participants engaged in robust discussions, strategic panels, and high-impact sessions focused on energy security, investment opportunities, gas utilization, renewable energy transition, and regional cooperation. The conversations reinforced the critical role of energy in fostering peace, economic resilience, and long-term prosperity across Africa and beyond.
